This is the bigger of the two pinots in the Spring Release. Brooding aromas of black cherry, black tea and cedar. Hidden Block is planted to Clone 115 and shows classic flavors of bramble, clove, leather, and a hint of cocoa powder. Medium-bodied with balanced, bright acidity, the flavors linger on the palate. Enjoy this layered wine with any grilled fare. Drink now or through 2027.
- Shalini Sekhar, Neely Winemaker
“Pale to medium ruby…a pretty nose of underbrush, soil, mint leaves, pure red and black cherries, rhubarb and strawberries with lovely floral notes coming through…medium-bodied with bright fruits and loads of spicy, earthy accents…a firm, finely grained frame and seamless freshness, finishing long and nuanced. Lovely!” - Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate
“The nose is blueberry and graphite with subtle herb and licorice. The palate entry is a granular textured black fruit with a polished core of blue plum and herb..” - Doug Wilder, Purely Domestic Wine Report
